It is always nice to see people from abroad visit our country and show appreciation for the culture, food, people and even landmarks.
UK based influencer Rakiim Huang recently shared a video of him visiting Masjid Putra in Putrajaya and sharing his thoughts on it.
In a TikTok video, Rakiim said, “I’m in Malaysia right now and I’m with my cousin and she’s taking me to the nicest mosque in the whole of Malaysia.”
He went on to go inside of the mosque, take wudhu and do his prayers there. He even complimented the wudhu section of the mosque.
“This is the maddest (craziest) mosque I’ve ever been to in my life,” said Rakiim as he explored the inside of the mosque.
“This is the mosque. It’s very big. The mosque is massive.”
Converting to Islam
In an interview with The Independent, Rakiim Huang said that that he took the shahadah (the Muslim declaration of faith) on March 8, 2021, despite, his parents being against his decision.
“The reason we call ourselves reverts is that, in Islam, we believe everyone was previously a Muslim. When I was born, I was a Muslim, but I was born into a non-Muslim family and raised that way, and now I’m coming back to that.”
Huang has been since been sharing his journey with his community of followers on TikTok.
“My friends and people on TikTok support me so much. I feel so blessed. I’ve got a beautiful support network around me,” he said.
