We are somewhat an ambassador to all foreign tourists out there. It’s always good to hear how many tourists are calling our place a paradise, or a home, right?
In a reversed situation, an e-hailing uncle was heard trash-talking Malaysia and Malaysians to a foreign tourist in his vehicle.
The uncle, who introduced himself as Henry, told the tourist from the UK about what he really thought of Malaysia – well, generally, not a good place.
“You might as well get a visa and visit Thailand. The place is like a paradise to me,” Henry told the tourist.
In a video that was removed from TikTok but was then reshared by FB page Gagak Di Rimba, Henry picked up the tourist somewhere in Penang, where he couldn’t stop sharing with Henry how much he loved Penang. Unfortunately, Henry wasn’t really on board with the tourist.
“After Penang, you can go to Langkawi but that’s it. There’s no place else you can go.”
This country is just unfair, according to Henry
The tourist wanted to share his thoughts about Malaysia but Henry continued to diss Malaysia, calling the country an unfair place that robs all the fun out of it.
“We could’ve had fun, but because this is a Muslim country, they want us to follow their lifestyle. This is unfair, right?”
The tourist just went along with Henry’s story of the day, and it seemed like Henry had been “suppressing” his emotions for a long time.
“They can’t drink alcohol, they can’t gamble, so they ban all the activities here.”
Henry also said living in Malaysia is almost equivalent to living in a cave or the jungle. He even suggested the tourist try an iconic local dish, Bah Kut Teh when he had the chance.
At the time of writing, Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the case is now being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
They say if you have nothing good to say, it’s best to remain silent.
