The Kuala Terengganu City Council (MBKT) has ordered all supermarkets, hypermarkets and shopping malls to close for the first day of Hari Raya (Monday, March 31).
According to a notice posted to their Facebook page, they have also instructed fast food premises as well as retail, convenience and department stores to close for half a day, from 12am to 1pm on the first day of Hari Raya (Monday, March 31).

They wrote, “The Kuala Terengganu City Council requests your cooperation to ensure that business activities do not operate on this specified day and time.”
“If it is found that you have failed to comply with these instructions, legal action will be imposed based on the laws applied by the council.”
