One of the world’s most valuable and innovative car brands, Tesla, might be opening shop in Singapore!
The rumours began after Tesla took to their LinkedIn account to post multiple job openings set for Singapore.
Some of the available positions include vehicle service technician, parts advisor, vehicle readiness specialist and so forth.
As according to The Strait Times, CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, had previously called the Singaporean government “not supportive” when asked by a fan if he’ll ever bring Tesla to Singapore.
“We tried, but Singapore government is not supportive of electric vehicles,” he said.
Though Singapore may be one of the world’s most expensive places to buy a car and has very few electric vehicles, it aims to phase out the use of petrol and diesel vehicle by 2040, making a bigger bet on electrification to cut greenhouse gases and slow climate change.
We can’t wait to see what Musk has in store for Singapore now that it seems that the automotive giant may be making it’s way to Singapore after all.
Stay tuned for more updates.
