A video has recently gone viral on social media thanks to a rather funny interaction between a young Malaysian motorcyclist with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at an undisclosed location.
Credited to Dashcam CCTV Malaysia, the dashcam footage was re-uploaded by PDRM’s official Facebook page and as of the time of writing, has garnered over 241,000 views and more than 6,000 reactions.
In the video, the young Malaysian was seen riding a motorcycle without a helmet and was stopping at an intersection while drinking a tapau-ed drink when the light was red.
Suddenly, out of seemingly nowhere, a PDRM patrol car can be seen in the opposite direction and approached the motorcyclist while turning on the siren, presumably after noticing the young rider not wearing a helmet.
Seeing what has transpired, the young Malaysian kept it cool and didn’t try to run away, but instead casually got off his motorbike and listened to the orders from the police officer.
He then pushed his motorcycle to the opposite side of the road as instructed by the police officer, as if already accepting his fate for the road offence.

In the video’s comments, many Malaysians praised the teenager for owning up to his action and not trying to run away from the police like many other instances of motorcyclists doing so in the past.
One commenter said that while the teen looks calm, only God knows how is truly feeling on the inside, but reminded him to follow the road regulations, which are meant for our own safety.
Meanwhile, another commenter said that the action of this young man of owning up to his mistake and cooperating with the police should be made an example of as trying to run away would just endanger yourself and other road users.
