It’s no secret that the hotel and hospitality industry is suffering through the pandemic, but it’s amazing to see how some of them are making the best out of a tough situation.
Just like how some hotels have begun selling affordable packed food items outside their premises, another hotel in Bukit Larut, Taiping, has now opened a little stall in front of their building to sell economical breakfasts to stay afloat.
Perak Press took to their profile to showcase Hotel Grand Baron’s affordable breakfasts.
They wrote, “For the sake of continuing their business, a group of hotel staff started a food business by the roadside. A hotel in Taiping, Perak, known as the Hotel Grand Baron is selling hotel food for as low as RM1.”
“The action of this group of hotel staff is seen as a noble effort to survive during the challenge of curbing the pandemic that is happening today, affecting the economy such as the food industry, agriculture, and tourism while causing job losses,” they added.
Based on their prices, you can get nasi lemak with fried chicken and other hearty meals for only RM3!
Not only will this help their hotel stay afloat but this will also help those who are hungry and going through financial difficulties.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
