In a short and fiery speech delivered Saturday night (June 22), US President Donald Trump confirmed that American forces had launched a major airstrike on three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan and called the operation a “spectacular military success.”
Flanked by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump said the goal was simple which was to wipe out Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities and eliminate what he called “the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.”

“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” Trump declared, adding that the US military had pulled off a strike “the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades.”
He labelled Iran “the bully of the Middle East” and warned that if Tehran doesn’t choose peace, future attacks would be “far greater and a lot easier.” Meanwhile, he emphasised that the three sites hit were the most difficult targets, hinting that others could be taken out “in a matter of minutes.”

Trump also gave a shoutout to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, praising their close coordination and the Israeli military’s role in the broader campaign.
“We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before.”
As he wrapped up, Trump thanked the US military and expressed hope that their services “in this capacity” wouldn’t be needed again.
“There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days.”
