Myanmar was struck by a 7.7-magnitude earthquake this afternoon (March 28) and was later hit by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake just 12 minutes after the first one.
According to a report by CNN, the horrifying tremors were felt as far away as Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand, as well as Yunnan and Guangxi, China.

The earthquakes left major destruction in both countries as a bridge collapsed in Myanmar while a building under construction also fell in Bangkok.
50 people were apparently inside the building under construction in Bangkok when it collapsed. 7 of them have been found injured while 43 others are still trapped inside the rubble.
Videos of the destruction have since gone viral online.Ā
