Following a case involving a father who repeatedly punched a woman after she allegedly almost ran over his young daughter, who was crossing a road, it was reported that the father had been arrested.
Because of this, it appears the man and his family have changed their tune now that he has been taken into police custody.
The victim’s sister, syfhusnaaa, has taken to her TikTok account to share how the man and his wife reached out to them, allegedly begging to retract their police report so that her husband can be released.
She wrote, “When (he was assaulting my sister), he did not think. When the incident took place, they put on angry faces. Both the husband and the wife put up a fierce front. But, when my sister decided to pursue the matter so that he is arrested, only then are you showing pitiful faces and asking for sympathy.”
“When my sister stood firm, the wife came asking her to retract her report, asking to have pity on her and her children, because she does not work and there would be no one to take care of her and her kids?”
The victim is a single parent with kids to care for too
The victim’s sister then pointed out that her sister is a single mother who relies on herself to earn money for her and her kids’ livelihoods, which will now be difficult to do due to the injuries she sustained from the man’s assault.
“Try to imagine it, he hit my sister’s rib until it broke. She, too, has 2 children, one in kindergarten and one in primary school, she is a single mother without a husband. Who is going to take care of her and her kids?”
“When this man was punching her, he was attacking her without so much as a thought of what could happen. But, when he is in handcuffs, he wants to kneel and apologise and beg until he’s willing to drop down and kiss my sister’s feet. You didn’t even try to apologise after my sister settled her check-up at the hospital,” she added.
She ultimately clarified that they will not retract their report against the man and will see the investigation through to the end.
