Singapore has been voted the friendliest city in the world in the global luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nest Traveler’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards.

In the 27th edition of the annual awards, Singapore beat out thousands of cities worldwide for being the friendliest city, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Sydney.

In coming up with the list, Condé Nest Traveler asked its readers to rank their favourite cities for a friendly stay.

In the 2023 edition of the awards, Canadian cities received the most votes, but this time, they’re all absent from the top 10 list.

Condé Nest Traveler elaborated that Singapore has always had a reputation for being exceptional.

Moreover, the luxury and lifestyle travel magazine asserted that the island city-state is famous for its financial powerhouses, pristine streets, unrivalled security standards, and diverse communities offering unmatched hospitality.

Condé Nest Traveler added,

“It’s not all lavish high-rises and innovative technology either, as Singapore has been dubbed the “Garden City” for its myriad of luscious parks and tree-lined streets. In other words, Singapore has all the components to achieve the status of a metropolitan utopia.”
