Parents would do anything for their children and are willing to make sacrifices for the benefit of their children.
This recent viral video in Indonesia is a testament to that, showing the lengths that a father would go through to ensure his daughter can go to school safely and comfortably.
The video, recorded in an undisclosed location in Indonesia shows a father carrying his young daughter over a rough and muddy road on two different days.
Shared by undercover.id on Instagram, the video has since gone viral with over 18,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments as of the time of writing.
Moreover, the father’s selfless act was also featured in a short segment on a television programme by Trans TV, a national TV station in Indonesia.
In the first half of the video, the Indonesian man can be seen carrying his daughter on his back while navigating through the muddy terrain, shielding her from getting dirty or worse, potentially injuring herself while walking through the horrible road conditions.
Subsequently, the video shows the same father-daughter duo on a different day, but with the father again carrying her through the rough terrain to go to school.
The caption of the video reads,
“A father’s sacrifice so that his daughter can chase her ambitions ?”

In fact, many commenters even tagged the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo so that immediate action can be taken.
One commenter said, “Oh God, where is this? Why is the road in such a derelict condition?”, while another netizen urges for the location to be disclosed so that they can ‘attack’ the district office.
Another commenter lamented the situation, saying that while the country has gained independence for decades, some roads are still the same as during the colonial days.
