After days and hours of pouring rain, the flood situation seems to have worsened, especially in the Klang Valley and several other areas.

On 18 December 2021 at 11.17pm, the official Facebook of Rapid KL posted a statement, announcing that the Masjid Jamek Station will be closed until further notice.

“Kelana Jaya Line Update: Due to worsening flood situation, Masjid Jamek Station is closed until further notice. All trains will not stop at Masjid Jamek Station. Passengers are advised to take alternative transport. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the statement says.

Other than that, Rapid KL also announced that the buses will temporarily stop operating due to the floods. “All bus stops are impassable. The routes involved are routes 171, 173, 180, 190, 191, 201, 220, 250, 300 & 303. All the convenience is deeply regretted.”

The flood situation will probably not improve in a short period of time, thus please stay safe and stay tuned for updates from the authorities.
