Last week, an unlicensed 18-year-old crashed into two students after allegedly running a red light in his Honda Jazz. Both students did not make it, and the driver was admitted to the ICU.

While the driver was receiving treatment in the hospital, his elder sister shared multiple posts online, praying for his recovery and seeking justice for his brother.
In the Instagram story below, the sister prayed for her brother’s speedy recovery and said that despite the accident, her brother is NOT like what netizens have perceived him to be.
“It’s okay, your family knows about the kind of person you are.”
“God is here and that is enough for us. Ignore the naysayers.”

She claps back at social media users for speaking ill of her brother
In another Instagram story, she claimed that her brother was in the ICU for a broken waist and leg and sought prayers from the public for his recovery.
“I would like to ask everyone to pray for my brother’s recovery.”

In the meantime, she also reached out to one of the netizens via messaging on TikTok and told the social media user to refrain from speaking about the accident without knowing the truth.
“Watch your mouth. Everything has been written. If God wants it to happen, it will happen, right?”
“We didn’t ask for it. Please shut your mouth and mind your own business.”

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t control my emotions”
Her posts and comments defending her brother did not sit well with many Malaysians, who accused her of playing the victim card.
Following the criticisms online, the sister posted an apology video on TikTok this morning (March 10) and expressed her regret for the words she had said, as well as the blame she had put on others.
She admitted to saying those words because she couldn’t control her emotions.
“I want to apologise to the family of the victims and to all Malaysians.”
“I admit that I was emotional when I made those posts. I am truly sorry, and I regret my actions,” she sobbed.

In her post, she also sent her condolences to the grieving family members.
