Today is 10th July 2018 and our prime minister Dr M has just turned 93!

So, in accordance with this auspicious day, Pos Malaysia has released a special set of limited edition stamps of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, reported The Star. Nice!

It’s only right that Tun M appears on a stamp because he has created history by becoming the oldest person to be elected Prime Minister.

According to Pos Malaysia’s group chief executive officer Al-Ishsal Ishak, each of the “Setem Ku” sheets will feature stamps of different designs with a face value of 60 sen each to commemorate the Malaysian icon.

Al-Ishsal was quoted as saying,

“Tun Dr Mahathir has dedicated his whole life for the betterment of the nation and this is our way of thanking him for all his efforts and contributions to Malaysia.”

What a great way to thank someone!

When you purchase a folder, you will receive three Setem Ku sheets with stamps portraying Tun M and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali’s adorable moments during a photo shoot, as well as pictures of Tun M’s swearing-in as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia.

To precisely describe it, it features moments when he signed the agreement and “angkat sumpah” as our new PM.

He also noted that Pos Malaysia will only be producing 100,000 pieces of each Setem Ku design, which means there will be 300,000 stamps altogether! Get them quick if you want some!

So, hurry up if you want to get a copy of this folder because Al-Ishsal said that there will be no reproduction of these collectible stamps. It’s a one-time kind of deal!

If you’re already thinking of getting your hands on these limited edition stamps, you can pre-order them via eziEmail or at all general post offices and selected post offices in Malaysia. They are sold at RM93 and every RM5 from the stamps sold will be donated to Tabung Harapan Malaysia. How nice!

“Why not take back a piece of history with you and contribute to Tabung Harapan?” he said.

If you’re Tun M’s fan or an avid stamp collector, you should definitely get these adorable and iconic stamps to add to your collection!

Brb, placing my order for these #TunM93 stamps.
