Okay, so we all love ASOS, J.Crew, American Apparel, etc. But here comes our new obsession: Pomelo.

The popular Thai online fashion retailer, Pomelo Fashion, will be opening its first physical store here in 1 Utama Shopping centre Malaysia tomorrow, expanding its existing offline presence in Southeast Asia. Back in 2020, the omnichannel fashion platform Pomelo announced that it will be expanding into Indonesia and Malaysia in November last year and the first quarter of 2021 respectively.

The fashion company, founded in 2013 by David Jou – the former managing director of Lazada Thailand, shared a post on their Instagram page four days ago revealing their latest store opening but leaving social media users to guess the store location.

Sneak peeks of the store were unveiled on their Instagram stories as well! An Instagram live virtual store tour will also be held tomorrow at 6pm MYT featuring actress @yayazahir and YouTuber @charisow.

Store CentralWorld

Pomelo produces new and unique styles inspired by fashion straight off the streets of Bangkok and Seoul. Their tag line is “Fashion born in Asia”. Using predominantly Asian models and sticking to their roots of Asian pieces, Pomelo reveals a side of Asian fashion that we are not used to seeing, and we are absolutely ecstatic to start shopping from them!

Pomelo shoppers will now be able to browse for their top choices via the physical store opening tomorrow. If you’ve never heard of Pomelo Fashion but you’ve got an intense desire for new, fresh trends, be sure to drop by 1 Utama.
