Throughout the years, anti-vaxxers have always been trying to prove that vaccination is a scam and that it’s bad or it causes autism in children. Although vaccination is a top priority in most countries across the globe, these anti-vaxxers are still trying to deter people from getting their jabs.
In order to reach herd immunity faster, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said that the government is considering taking legal action against anti-vaxxers who incite public opinion against the National Covid-19 Immunisation Plan, reported BERNAMA.
He has also asked The Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) to look into further details on the possibility of making vaccination compulsory if there is a scenario where everyone who is registered receives their vaccinations but herd immunity is still not achieved yet.
“I hope we can speed up the vaccination process. What’s important now is have no one saying no to the vaccine.”
“We don’t want only half (of the Malaysians) getting vaccinated while the other half is not as it will cause problems later on.”
Malaysia has a population of about 33 million according to DOSM and as of now, 12,584,422 have registered for vaccinations while 2,181,783 are vaccinated.
We are still a long way from herd immunity! Hence, please try your hardest to convince those around you who have not registered to do so now.
