Popular M’sian ‘Hipster’ Pasar Malam Pingmin Market Announces Closure After Discovering Alleged Fraud Scheme

Popular ‘hipster’ pasar malam and event venue, Pingmin Market and Pingmin Hub (PM and PH), will be ceasing all operations due to the discovery of an alleged fraud scheme.

Taking to their Facebook page to share this announcement, 平民市集 Pingmin Market calls on partners, suppliers and vendors to come forward to assist in investigations into the alleged fraud scheme.

Pingmin Market and Pingmin Hub cease all operations 

They wrote, “It is with the utmost regret that PM and PH has to cease all operations. It has come to our attention that a serious scheme of fraud has been committed within PM and PH, and we are no longer able to operate and conduct our business affairs.”

“TAKE NOTICE that those who have been recently dealing with PM and PH must come forward with all documentary proof to assist us to bring the perpetrator(s) involved to justice.”

They added that they are issuing the statement to protect their partners, suppliers and vendors from financial loss and to validate all transactions with them.

Pingmin Market went on to provide details on how partners, suppliers and vendors can ensure payment and invoice authorisations are done legitimately, through their operator.

 

Pingmin Market has since clarified to WORLD OF BUZZ that they cannot disclose any further details on this matter as the case has been handed over to their legal counsel.
