A man was injured after being hit by a motorcycle while walking in the motorcycle lane near the Perling toll plaza, southbound, yesterday (6 December).
Acting North Johor Baru police chief Superintendent Azrol Anuar Nor said the incident occurred around 9:35 AM.

“The victim, a 52-year-old local man, was walking alongside a slow-moving lorry when he suddenly stepped into the motorcycle lane,” he said in a statement.
At that moment, a Honda NF125 ridden by a 46-year-old local man, who was traveling straight, collided with him.
Pedestrian suffered minor injuries
The pedestrian suffered injuries to his left leg, body, and face and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Iskandar Puteri. The motorcyclist was unharmed.
Azrol added that police had earlier detected a viral video of the accident circulating on social media. A report was lodged at 12:53 PM yesterday.

The case is being investigated under Rule 41 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for pedestrian negligence at a crossing, which led to the accident. Authorities are also probing the pedestrian’s reason for being in the lane.
