Just 2 days ago, we reported on how Malaysia’s badminton women’s doubles dynamic duo Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan (World ranking: 13) had qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
And now, they’ve won their match to move on to the semi-finals!
Pearly and Thinaah won against South Korea’s Kim So Yeong and Kong Hee Yong (World ranking: 10) in a 21-12 and 21-13 win.
Apparently, no Malaysian women’s doubles pair has ever made it to the semi-finals of the Olympics before, marking Pearly and Thinaah’s place in history!
Let’s put our hopes and prayers together for them to reach the GOLD!
