A 42-year-old woman is believed to have been abducted after she didn’t show up to give a statement at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya on April 9.
Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh, who’s married to a Sarawak businessman, is said to be under investigation with her husband over a money laundering case, according to Sinar Harian.

She was abducted by people dressed in police uniforms
In a recent update, police investigations into Pamela’s disappearance are also exploring the possibility that she may have been taken by actual police officers or by individuals posing as them, according to Berita Harian.
This came from a witness, who is the e-hailing driver who dropped her off at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya around noon.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated that they are aware of allegations suggesting Pamela was taken by someone wearing a vest marked “police,” but further investigations are still underway.

“The police are going through all leads to find her”
Razarudin said the investigation is also looking at closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the scene.
“Right now, we’re collecting all the information and statements from witnesses, including the e-hailing driver who brought Pamela. We (PDRM) are still checking out the claim that she was taken by someone in a police uniform or vest. The police are trying to figure out whether it was actual officers or someone pretending to be one,” he said.
He added that they can’t share too much about the case just yet, as it might mess with any plans or next steps they’re working on.
“For now, I’ve told the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to help the Kuala Lumpur police with the investigation and with finding Pamela. Both Bukit Aman and the Kuala Lumpur police are going through all the facts and clues to track her down,” he said.

However, Razarudin declined to comment on whether Pamela’s possible abduction was linked to her wealth and assets, though he did not rule out the possibility that the case may have been staged to cast blame on the MACC or the police.
