A man in Puchong recently beat a female security guard and threatened to kill her after the woman rejected his love.

The CCTV footage showing the man getting physical with the woman outside the guardhouse is currently circulating on social media. In the video, the man can be seen arguing with the woman before attempting to hurt her with a pocketknife. The victim, fortunately, managed to avoid the blade.

The incident took place around 12:40 AM on Tuesday (February 25) when the woman was on duty.

The man was there to express his love for the woman but was rejected as she was still in the process of getting a divorce.

Fearing for her life, the 32-year-old woman then lodged a police report the next day (Wednesday, February 26) around 1:30 PM.

Unrequited love turned ugly

Serdang District Chief Police, ACP A. A. Anbalagan, said the suspect returned to the guardhouse around 3:30 AM after the first argument to confront the victim.

In a statement, Anbalagan said PDRM is now on the hunt for the suspect. The matter is being investigated under Sections 324 and 506 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 6 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958 for the offenses of causing injury with a weapon, criminal intimidation, and carrying a dangerous weapon in a public place.

The public with relevant information is advised to reach out to the police to help with the investigation.
