Recently, Parkson took to their Facebook page to announce that a salesperson from the Hermès makeup counter in their Parkson Elite branch tested positive for Covid-19.
The statement said that the salesperson was a third party promoter who worked in the Cosmetics & Fragrance department on Level 3 of Parkson Elite. The populated department store is one of the most visited shopping spaces in Kuala Lumpur for locals and tourists alike.
Parkson assures its customers that the promoter did not display any symptoms while working in the store from 2nd-17th March. They’ve also confirmed that thorough cleaning and sanitisation was conducted along with the procedures issued by the Ministry of Health.
It was only the next day (18th March) that the mall closed in accordance to the announcement of the nationwide MCO.
Anybody who was within the vicinity of this store location is advised to contact the Ministry of Health and cooperate with the guidelines. They should also communicate with those who could have had close personal contact with the infected staff and advise them to seek quarantine and inspection.
If you have any further enquiries about the case, you can contact Parkson on Facebook for more information.
Do get yourself checked if you were in the area! Stay safe, guys.
