It has been reported that over 820,000 Malaysians have been blacklisted from leaving the country. Of that figure, 200,727 were bankrupts; 118,892 had not settled their educational loans; 520 had committed security offences; while 507,782 were blacklisted for “other offences.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi did not clarify nor mention what “other offences” actually signifies.
The huge number is daunting as Malaysians wonder if they are one of the people who got blacklisted and will not be able to leave the country.

If you’re not restricted from leaving the country then the words “tiada halangan” aka “no restriction” would appear.
Zahid Hamidi said that “Those blacklisted are barred from leaving the country unless they obtain permission by the relevant authorities.”
