How many people can say that they were featured in Michelle Obama’s playlist? Not a lot!

In collaboration with Spotify, Michelle Obama created a podcast series where she talks about current issues and her family, friends and colleagues. As of now, there are four long episodes and a few intros.

To go along with the podcast, the former first lady had curated a playlist named after herself. In regards to the playlist, she says,

“Excited to share with you a new @Spotify playlist inspired by the first season of my new podcast. It’s filled with incredible new artists and a whole lot of #BlackGirlMagic.”

In the tweet, she includes the complete list of songs and their artists, when we saw that our homegirl Yuna was on the list, we ALMOST screamed out!

Yuna had been in the music industry for as long as we can remember (ever since the 2000s) and even after facing backlash for who she is, she remained strong and rose to the top. Now, she’s recognised by one of the most influential, empowering woman in the world.
