I can practically hear everyone in the office cheering from this news right now!
It’s recently been announced that 30 July is now a national holiday.
The government has decided to hold Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agong XVI’s coronation on that date, hence making it a public holiday for Malaysia as well!
The country’s Chief secretary, Dr. Ismail said that the announcement of that additional national holiday is made in accordance to Section 8 of the Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369), as reported by Malaysia Gazette.
