No Police Letter Required If You’re Travelling Interstate Or Inter-district For Vaccinations

It was announced today (4 May) that the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be implemented in six districts in Selangor namely, Petaling, Hulu Langat, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Langat, Sepang from 6 May until 17 May.

As a result, inter-district travel will not be allowed for the districts mentioned above.

However, there is an exception regarding individuals who need to cross states and districts for their vaccination appointments.

Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin announced on Twitter that he has clarified the issue of interstate and inter-district travel for vaccination purposes with Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said that vaccine recipients DO NOT need a police letter to travel interstate. Individuals would only need to provide proof of their vaccination appointment on the MySejahtera App, website or SMS.

As for individuals living in districts under the MCO, inter-district travels will be ALLOWED for vaccination purposes. Individuals would need to show proof of their appointments on the MySejahtera App, website or SMS as well.

No police letter is required.
