It’s safe to say that with the COVID-19 pandemic still lingering around, plans for overseas travel is definitely not in the nearby future (at this point, some of us would be happy with just interstate travel right?).
But fret not! Mama Nature has brought us a glimpse of Korea and Japan to our own backyard.
Taman Semabok Perdana in Melaka has recently been getting attention for its ‘blooming’ guests.
Images of a pond filled with purple flowers, similar to lavender fields found in Korea and the Netherlands, have been circulating on social media sites recently.
Netizens have even dubbed the place as “SEOULMABOK“.
The flowers, believed to be water hyacinths, have attracted many locals to visit the site. Couples were also seen to be using the location for wedding photography.

It’s certain that once the MCO is lifted and interstate travel is allowed again, this site is going to garner even more visitors, especially from those looking for their next best Instagrammable shot.
We’re definitely going to be supporting local tourism, so see you there!
