Sometimes, there’s more to what meets the eye.

For instance, just last week (25 February 2018) an elderly man was recorded as he allegedly attempted to touch a girl’s thigh who was seated next to him. Obviously, some netizens were enraged by this.

However, recently, a fellow Facebooker, Ramesh, shared his side of the story, mentioning that he was there too during the incident. Instead of it being harassment, he wrote that the pakcik was actually just trying to adjust his robe because the girl had sat on it.

Subsequently, according to NST, a celebrity Ustaz, Ebit Lew, had also chimed in on the matter claiming that it is unfair to wrongly accuse the poor man, as he has a family of his own that may be devastated to hear this news.

Not only that, the Ustaz claimed to have known the man too.

“I’m very close to the man. Thank God for Ramesh, who has decided to speak the truth,” he wrote.

He added that he knew the man for almost 12 years and is friends with all of his kids. According to the Ustaz, all of his kids are very established, successful and respected. He also said that the elderly man himself isn’t some lowly person; instead, he is someone respectable.

“I love Allah because of him,” confessed the Ustaz.

The Ustaz further wrote that he intends to find the person who initially shared the post about the incident as it had tarnished the pakcik’s reputation and hence he wanted to give the netizen a piece of his mind.

After Ramesh’s post went viral, netizens began sharing their two cents, and many agreed with Ramesh and the Ustaz claiming that the matter was blown out of proportion.

Many stated that it was obvious that the elderly man was uncomfortable in his seat.

Meanwhile, some others were skeptical about his side of the story and insisted that he looked like he’s trying to touch the girl’s thigh.

Some questioned the Ustaz’s post, asking why didn’t the kids of the man address the matter when it went viral.

Well, there’s always two sides to a story and sometimes, our own eyes can deceive us!

Which side of the story did you believe? Tell us in the comment section!
