Do you stay or leave if your relationship has become a laughingstock in your circle? A Malaysian woman recently expressed her embarrassment towards her boyfriend after her relationship became a joke in the house.
In a viral screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation shared on a Facebook group, the woman said her family was embarrassed that her boyfriend’s job – a food delivery rider.
“Have you ever considered my feelings? When I have family gathering, everyone condescended me when asking about your job. Everyone laughed at me. They laughed about you in front of me,” the woman told the man.
Her family’s laughter is not the only thing that hurt the man. The woman’s embarrassment about his job similarly broke his heart.
In response to his girlfriend, the man told her what he felt after hearing the heartbreaking conversation.
“That’s the money I earn for myself and use to spend on you all these while. This job of mine that you’re embarrassed of, is what helped me of taking care of you financially. My heart breaks when you say you’re embarrassed of my job.”
The man knew that the joke in the house had sealed the fate of the relationship, he hinted at the end of the relationship with the woman.
“When I am at my worst, you look at me this way. Yes, you may be embarrassed of me but I have never been embarrassed of you.”
