Seeing the world from the ground is breathtaking but just imagine the privilege of being able to see it from above!
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) recently showcased a throwback shot of Malaysia from space, during a thunderstorm.
They wrote, “To see beauty is to see light.”
“High in the sky on 18 September, 2016, the International Space Station journeyed approximately 250 miles (402.336km) over thunderstorms visible in Malaysia during a nighttime pass. Here you can see the brilliant strikes of lightning flashing inside the heavy swirl of dark clouds in a majestic performance of bad temper,” they added.
In the foreground of the photo, the Russian Soyuz spacecraft (left) and Progress spacecraft (right) can be seen, they went on to explain.
“Our world is magic.”
From such a view, it truly puts into perspective how small we really are. Hence, let’s cherish the beautiful world we’ve been given.
