January is definitely a year our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak is making waves this early into the new year as he wants all government workers to remember not to take what doesn’t belong to them and not to deny Malaysians their ‘people’s rights’, The Malay Mail reported.
This was in lieu of the recent arrests of civil servants by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Just recently, MACC arrested Datuk Mohd Arif Ab Rahman and his two sons for suspicion of corruption. This was due to their lavish lifestyle which was evident via social media.
During the Prime Minister’s Department’s monthly assembly, our beloved PM reminded the civil servants,
“There are reminders about wastage. The actions taken by MACC recently are a reminder not to take what is the people’s rights.”
“This belongs to the people. Everything we do is for the people. The projects are for the people. The value adding is for the people.”
Besides that, our wonderful prime minister also wanted all government workers to treat 2017 as a year of ‘delivery’.
“When we say delivery, we are looking at the value of what we deliver. Follow scheduled completion targets. If there are any problems, please resolve them.”
Besides that, Najib warned that bureaucracy should not do anything that will affect the delivery of service towards the public.
After reading such an inspiring comment from our wonderful PM, netizens shared their love and admiration for the amazing leader.
“New year, new man. He is a changed man.”
“Yes, Najib. You’re right. EVERYONE should not take what isn’t theirs.”
“That’s right. Don’t take what isn’t yours unless it was a donation.”
So please remember everyone, it isn’t right to steal from others. Never take what isn’t yours because that is called ‘stealing’, unless it was a donation.
