Muhyiddin Announces That Bersatu Has Agreed To Join Muafakat Nasional

Party Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) President and Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has recently announced the party’s support for Perikatan Nasional and inclusion into Muafakat Nasional.

This came after the Bersatu President’s discussions with the top leadership of parties within the Perikatan led government stating that “This is the best option for Bersatu”.

In his Facebook video’s special address in conjunction with Bersatu’s Srikandi and divisional meetings, Muhyiddin adds that the party’s participation in Muafakat Nasional will be finalised soon.

“Bersatu top leadership has agreed to join Muafakat Nasional that supports Perikatan Nasional as a grand coalition.”

“Insyallah, the party’s participation in Muafakat Nasional will be finalised soon.”

Muafakat Nasional is a pact created with the unification of UMNO and PAS, while Perikatan Nasional is a grand coalition between Muafakat Nasional, Bersatu and other parties.

Mentioning that the majority support was on Perikatan’s side, Muhyiddin said: “The cooperation will form political stability that will surely bring benefits of harmony, prosperity to all rakyat regardless of their religious groups or racial background.”
