Climbing a mountain is no small feat, especially for those who need to pack the necessary tools that will aid them in making it to the top. However, one man went above all odds, and let’s just say, did not travel light.
TikTok user @jvy_aolm01 has become a notable presence on the platform by posting videos of himself climbing Mount Kinabalu on a fairly frequent basis. However, one particular video has been making waves online after he was spotted walking up the trail with a gas tank tied to his back.
In the 35-second clip, the man can be seen doing some quick leg stretches on the steps heading towards the top of the mountain, before eventually continuing on. The entirety of the climb, the man has a gas tank strapped to his back, with other undisclosed items as well.
Seamless and strong, the man effortlessly walks up the steps without flinching.
Receiving major praise for doing the climb with a gas tank on his back, many Malaysians were in awe of his capabilities.
“When humans train hard every day, they are able to become some sort of super version of themselves,” complimented one user.
However, there were a number of users who also asked why the man did not use a lighter gas tank, or a portable gas tank to make his journey easier.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the user clarified that he is currently working alongside the Laban Rata Resthouse, a lodge located approximately 3,272 metres above sea level, to deliver goods needed by the stay for their customers.
According to the man, he, as well as his other colleagues, make deliveries and trips daily to the lodge. Some of the items they have delivered included tables, cement, and the gas tanks.
“It doesn’t take a long time to climb that distance, but it does take strength and craft,” he said in a comment to WORLD OF BUZZ.
