An accident between a Bentley and a Perodua Viva was highlighted in a Facebook post that has garnered over 6,000 shares and over 660 comments, effectively starting a debate on the quality and safety of not just Malaysian-made cars, but also cars categorised in the affordable range.
A netizen going by Edward Likes posted a series of photos showing the outcome of a Bentley rear-ending a Perodua Viva. Spoiler alert – It doesn’t end well for the Viva.

Netizens were immediately stunned by the fact that the Perodua Viva looked completely crushed, whereas the damage sustained by the Bentley was minimal. This is stirring up a debate on the sturdiness of not only Malaysian cars, but cars that are generally made economically, given that Malaysians as a whole are quite attached to our cheap but reliable cars.
Some even expressed their horror for whoever could have or might have been sitting in the back of the Viva, while others highlighted that hatchback cars generally have softer rear framing.
Either way, it does make you think twice about safety when it comes to purchasing an economical car. Not everyone can afford a Bentley, though.
