When it comes to having an ideal type, wanting and desiring certain features in a man or woman is completely normal.
However, there seems to be a worrying trend that for some men in Malaysia, women who are either taken, divorced or widowed are highly desirable due to the fact that they are or have been with someone.
Recently, Twitter user @iamajayrahman expressed his disgust over the trend via a post on Twitter. His post was based on a screenshot of an unknown TikTok video of men commenting how they prefer taken, divorced or widowed women in comparison to a woman who has never been with anyone.

The comments section of the TikTok video featured men proudly commenting how much they love women who are either taken, divorced or widowed.
His post reads, “Last time it was about women who hunt for people’s husbands, now it’s about men hunting people’s wives. Our society is broken!”
Twitter users agreed with him and condemned such men
His post has amassed plenty of attention and currently sits on over 1,567 likes and 1,068 shares. Twitter users took to the comments section to condemn men who only desire such women.
“This is called being a homewrecker who is not thinking about their sins. I hope that their wives get bothered by other men so that you will then realise how it feels,” commented a user.
One netizen said, “The amount of as*holes who don’t understand it when I made it clear of my status and the audacity to say ‘doesn’t matter if she is someone’s wife’ like??”
“How do you even desire other people’s wives. Don’t you know shame or respect,” said another user.
Meanwhile, some users gave out their suggestion on why such men fantasise about married, divorced or widowed women. “It’s weird and you might think that it’s just a joke but if you ever come across Malay porn, you’ll notice it.”
“It’s sad to see how much widows are degraded like this. They should be respected even more as they have to struggle the most,” added the user.
Another netizen commented, “Men look for taken women because they want the pleasure but not the responsibility. If anything were to happen, the woman still has her husband.”
Although it is perfectly acceptable to have your own kinks and fantasies, one that shouldn’t be normalised is desiring women who are taken or have been taken before.
