Months after the pandemic took over the nation and the world, along with the implementation of the MCO, Malaysians have embraced the new-norm to combat the spread of Covid-19. The pandemic has impacted us in many ways now, especially roadblocking social gatherings.

However, the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week committee has reinvigorated the event by making it the first-ever online fashion show in Malaysia.

Premiering on hurr.tv on YouTube this coming 11 November until 13 November, Malaysians can now have front-row access to the KLFW show. There will 15 episodes over the course of 3 days, featuring 60 0f our esteemed Malaysian homegrown designers such as Rizman Ruzaini, Behati, Hatta Dolmat and Jovian Mandagie.

With 5 episodes per day, the designers will be showcasing their unique and gorgeous garments on the models as they strut for the camera. On top of that, backstage will also be digitalised for viewers to get a first look at the full process of KLFW’s first online fashion show.

KLFW has partnered with a multinational electronics brand, Panasonic Malaysia, to help put the designers’ vision into reality by providing them with their innovative products such as the Nanoe Hair Dryers, the Ionity Multi-Styling Styler and the Facial Ionic Steamer.

“The team put in a lot of effort for getting models into their makeup, hair and wardrobe, and without the partnership with Panasonic, it wouldn’t be possible,” said Andrew Tan

Now that the annual event is happening virtually, fashion-lovers can take part and recreate some of the looks from the runway collection as they are accessible to visit the store at the comfort of their own home.

During the three days of KLFW, Panasonic also will be having a cyber sale for their customers to get their hands on the products that are being used on the models.
