A woman in her 20s was tragically killed after losing control of her car in Tangkak, Johor, yesterday (8 December).
The incident happened near the Tanjung Agas recreational centre, where her multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) skidded and plunged into a river.

According to Senior Fire Officer I, Jahairi Shukor, the Muar Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call about the incident at 3:48 PM, as reported by Sinar Harian.
He explained that right after the call came in, a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) truck and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services unit with 10 personnel were dispatched from the Tangkak and Muar stations to the scene, about two kilometres away.
“Upon arriving at the scene, there was an accident involving a Nissan Grand Livina MPV that had skidded and plunged into the river. Inside the vehicle was a woman, believed to be in her 20s, who was trapped.”

Jahairi said the fire rescue team managed to pull the victim out, but she was later pronounced dead by a medical officer at the scene.
He added that the operation was concluded at 4:40 PM.
