A recent post has gone viral after a woman revealed that two men, claiming to be Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers, visited her home to inform her about a seized motorcycle that they said belonged to her husband.
In screenshots reshared on X, the woman explained that the two men, dressed in plainclothes, claimed they were from the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters (IPD).

A woman claimed two men posing as PDRM officers came to her home about her husband’s motorcycle
According to the post, the incident reportedly occurred yesterday (30 December) at approximately 1:30 PM at PPR Sungai Bonus Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.
The woman said the whole situation left her confused, especially since her husband had taken the motorcycle to work and it was parked at his office.
“They came to my house claiming my husband’s motorcycle was at the police station and said they were from the Wangsa Maju Police District. But my husband had actually taken the motorcycle to work and parked it in front of his office. Be careful if you see these two people.”

Wangsa Maju Police have confirmed that the men were legitimate officers
In response, Wangsa Maju Police District Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail, confirmed that the two men in the screenshots were indeed Wangsa Maju police officers carrying out their duty.
He added that the officers had already identified themselves at the scene but were mistakenly thought to be scammers.
When asked by China Press whether the police would take action against the netizen who posted content harming the police’s reputation, Mohamad Lazim said there are currently no plans to open any further investigation.
