Most of us have boundaries in life for many different things. However, some people really like to test these boundaries.
Recently, a Malaysian woman by the name of Syaza has shared on Twitter about how a man had texted her and asked her if it was true that she is married because she did not look like it!
Syaza replied: “My husband is asking, what does a married person look like?”
The person replied soon after and spewed some pretty absurd words.
“A married person shuts down social media, stays indoors, is always covered when outside. Old school. Otherwise men like me will get confused.”
He then apologised for asking and asked Syaza to send his regards to her husband.
Well, we’re not entirely sure how marriage can be judged by looks…
Syaza, 29, told WORLD OF BUZZ that normally she posts a lot about her husband on Twitter but she still receives these types of messages; usually, she would ignore or block them.
“We were both amused that he thought I didn’t look like a married person and that’s why I replied – I mean, can’t a person be married and still look presentable/nice. His subsequent reply is totally uncalled for.”
Netizens in the comments were perplexed as to how a person can have such a backwards view.
“Is he living in the 80s or 90s? It’s now 2022 and women can’t enjoy life when they’re married? Hope my future husband will not be like him.”
“I don’t know but this person just showed you that he is the type who likes to control his spouse and whatever that could be worse. If I was you, I would have replied to him: “Thank God I did not marry you. Can’t even enjoy life.”
Some have said that men like this don’t take “no” for an answer unless there is another man.
A man in the comments was called out for having the same views.
“Somehow the man’s point is really accurate.”
To which a person replied: “Married men should delete their social media accounts too then. Be old school, cover up and don’t go to the gym. Go to work and after that just come back and play with the kids and show attention to the wife. Don’t go and have ‘me’ time with friends at the mamak. You agree?”
Well, those comments are really telling. Have you ever met anyone like them before? Let us know how unpleasant the experience was in the comments.
