In their last days at school, retiring teachers often reflect on memorable school trips, events, and classes, enjoying tributes from both students and colleagues. However, it’s not every day you witness teachers leaving a once-in-a-lifetime gift for students before retiring.
In a touching gesture, a teacher from SMK Wakaf Bharu in Tumpat, Kelantan surprised everyone by awarding an Umrah package to a student who won the lucky draw on the day of his retirement.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, TikTok user @ayu_hidayu38, revealed on how Mohd Danial from Kampung Padang Rokma, was in disbelief when he won the prize, especially with 800 students in the draw.
According to Sinar Harian, for the eldest of two siblings, getting to visit the holy land of Mecca is like a dream come true. It was said that he had never traveled far or been on an airplane before.
All-expenses-paid trip to Mecca, including a RM500 allowance.
It was also reported that Mohd Danial expressed how he couldn’t wait to share the good news with his mother, who is a person with disabilities (OKU) and a single parent.
The retired teacher Ahmad Zaki, mentioned that this special gesture was intended to leave lasting memories for the students as he ended his tenure. He added,
“All expenses, including RM500 pocket money, will be covered.”
The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has attracted attention from online netizens, who quickly filled the comment section.
