A Malaysian Siamese content creator who’s famous for teaching the Thai language in Bahasa Melayu in a fun way on TikTok recently took to the platform to respond to a question/comment that she received in every video she posted: “Your Bahasa Melayu is so fluent”
Well, the content creator, Kanittha, more affectionately known as Nita, responded to a comment she received in one of her TikTok videos of a man shocked at her perfect mastery of Bahasa Melayu.
“I’m a Malaysian Siamese, I went to school at an SMK”
In the video, Nita clarified that she’s not from Thailand but is a Malaysian Siamese, which shares almost all the same cultures in the country.
Nita added that she went to school at a Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) or the national secondary school in Malaysia.
She further elaborated,
“The Malaysian Siamese people are not from Thailand. We are Malaysian citizens. Bumiputera Malaysia.”
Nita then playfully said that there must be a lot of Malaysians who are sceptical about her revelation and would ask her if she has an IC to prove it.
Well, to that, she just asked netizens to Google about the Malaysian Siamese people.
As of the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 716,700 times and garnered more than 22,000 likes.
