Vulnerable animals will always tug on the heartstrings of those who care deeply for them, especially ones that are more susceptible to danger. But no one will be rewarded more for their kindness than a human who provides these creatures safety and shelter.

A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after user @mak_lepat shared a story where she adopted a nursing cat and her five kittens. In the clip, the user began by stating that the mother cat consistently watched over the parking lot of the building she resided in. Always playful and looking for food, one day, the user came across the mother and her five kittens.

The six of them had been living in a cardboard box placed at a corner of the parking lot, without any proper care. Feeling pity for them, the user decided to adopt all six cats and bring them home to live with her.

Upon reaching her residence, the user stated that all six cats were getting acquainted with the other cats she already owned. Over time, all six cats grew to be healthy and happy, residing with the user full-time. Some of the kittens were also said to have grown larger than their mother.

In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, the user, who prefers to go by Mak Lepat, stated that she is originally from Perak, and was renting a studio apartment in Cyberjaya to continue her studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) when she came across the mother cat, and eventually, her kittens.

“I lived there for two years, and every time I park my car, the mother cat will come and wait for me, because she recognised my car. During the movement control order (MCO) period, I would rarely go to my apartment, but that was the time she got pregnant and had her kittens,” Mak Lepat said to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Shortly before moving back to Perak, Mak Lepat made the decision to bring all six cats home with her. At this point in time, Mak Lepat cares for 46 cats, most of whom she adopted. According to Mak Lepat, all six of them are in good health and are still living with her.

With a pure heart and good intentions, many commenters praised Mak Lepat for adopting the mother cat and her five kittens, giving them a safe haven and nourishment in the process, too.

“Even cats know how to find food for their children. Thank you for being such a good person, from a cat lover myself,” thanked another user.
