Marry yourself the wrong partner, and you’ll see your entire life wasted down the drain.
In an anonymous dilemma shared via a Facebook post on Kelab Wanita Ibu Isteri Malaysia, a Malaysian wife shared the continuous struggle of living with his husband, who refused to support him financially and emotionally. The woman had the intention to work and earn money through her means, but her husband was not fond of the idea.
The husband, whom she married through matchmaking, said it would be an embarrassment to allow her to work.
However, he failed to support her financially and rarely prioritised her needs.
“The savings that I collected from my previous online business are gone. We used it to get a secondhand Myvi and for me to buy the necessities for our twin babies.”
“iPhones, Starbucks, but nothing for me”
According to the post, the woman said that her husband used her money to pay the loans for his Toyota Vios.
“Whenever I asked him for money, he would tell me that he didn’t have any, and the next day, he would come home with a brand new iPhone. Sometimes, I found his receipts from Starbucks, fast food restaurants.”
The woman revealed that her husband has never preferred to dine in at cheap places.
The twin babies, who still rely solely on pampers and milk powder, are ignored by the man himself and fully supported by the unfortunate woman herself.
In a situation like this, the woman admitted to having thought about ending the marriage but was advised against it.
“I’ve been to the religious department; everyone told me to be patient. My car was sold, and the money is used to support my husband, and I can’t even go out anymore.”
The woman, however, is still not resorting to divorce and said her post is merely to express her dilemma and situation.
“I can only cry with my babies every day, but thank you for listening.”
There is a reason why we don’t lower our standards to love someone. We hope the woman will be able to get back on her feet for her survival.
