A 21-year-old woman and her family are currently being harassed by loan sharks after her biological father, who she had not been in contact with for 11 years, provided her information to the loan sharks as he refused to repay his loan.
Following this, the loan sharks allegedly stole images of the 21-year-old woman from social media and reposted them online with captions implying that she was offering sexual services.

According to a report by China Press, the woman and her stepfather held a press conference with the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) to further detail this situation. The stepfather shared that his wife had divorced the woman’s biological father in 2014 and they have not had contact with him since.
Having borrowed money from loan sharks and refused to pay them back, the biological father directed the loan sharks to his estranged daughter and her family.
The loan sharks threatened to go to their home
Following this, 2 groups of loan sharks began harassing her and her family since February of this year, claiming that the biological father owed them RM4,000 and RM5,000, respectively.

They apparently sent the family photos of drugs and threatened to go to their house to “play together” should they choose not to repay the money. They also stole images of the woman from social media and edited them to look like she was a sex worker.
“At the same time, my stepdaughter also received photos from the loan sharks. The photos were taken from my stepdaughter’s social media and then maliciously edited with words implying that my stepdaughter is providing sexual services,” the stepfather explained.

The loan sharks have also posted the edited images online, leading the woman to receive numerous phone calls.
They have since posted an announcement in newspapers announcing that they have severed all ties with the biological father in hopes that the loan sharks will stop harassing them.
