It’s been more than 5 years since the smoking ban at eateries were implemented. Though, sadly, due to the lack of enforcement, many people still light up cigarettes while sitting at restaurants and cause a smelly and unhealthy nuisance to others sitting around them, who have to breathe in secondhand smoke.

And this lack of enforcement have also left many feeling cocky when they smoke at restaurants, knowing that there will be no consequences for their actions.

Netizen, Ezman Shariff, took to his Twitter page to showcase how a smoker had gotten aggressive and even flipped the middle finger after he was confronted for lighting up a cigarette at a mamak eatery.

He wrote, “What have we become! Smoking is prohibited at eating areas and yet, no one cares. When others speak up because a 4-year-old is in the vicinity, they get threatened.”

“Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (current Health Minister), Khairy Jamaluddin (former Health Minister) and Dr Zaliha Mustafa (former Health Minister), truly end of Generational End Game, or maybe just an end of a generation as a whole!”

In the video, the smoker could be seen being escorted back to his table after he got aggressive following a confrontation about him lighting up a cigarette at the restaurant.

From his seat, he then makes silly gestures and gives the middle finger to Ezman, who is recording the incident.

All while this is happening, the smoker held onto his cigarette in his hands and even openly smoked it for the camera to see.

We genuinely hope that the authorities identify the man and take action against him as they should.
