For many people, family is everything. And sometimes, dynamics may shift as we get older, for no other reason than the regular process of life.
A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after one brother had a very emotional moment with his sister on her wedding day. Posting the clip to her own TikTok account @f4rhana4fun, the bride, whose name is Farhana, shared the moment between her and her brother.
Breaking down in tears, the duo hold a long embrace with Farhana’s brother burying his face in her shoulder. Full of emotions, Farhana gently strokes the back of her brother’s neck and comforts him, before the duo exchanges a few words. Wiping his tears away after the hug, the clip ends as the duo smile at each other.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Farhana stated that despite the four-year age gap, her brother will always be her little sibling in her heart. Reminiscing about their schooling days, Farhana revealed that they’d spend time together during recess and she even protected him once during an incident at school.
“I always got his back, and we’ve kept that tight bond since forever,” she said to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Overwhelmed with sentiment, many sisters also spoke about what their relationships are like with their brothers, imagining how they may react when their own sisters get married one day.
“I am the oldest with three younger brothers. I can’t imagine how they’d react when my time comes,” wrote one user. Another Malaysian woman even said that she raised her brothers, and she knows that while she can’t speak for how they’d react, she’d definitely be in tears when the time comes.
However, there were a number of users who took the comedic route, saying that if their brothers do not cry like Farhana’s brother during their wedding day, they don’t want it.
