Feeding stray animals is a noble act that many Malaysians take part in, though there are still many street cats and dogs who are still going hungry.
But, what if there’s a way for assist stray animals with feeding themselves?
The Stray Tales Society (STS) took to their TikTok page to showcase their very first Self-Feeder, a contraption that they designed to help stray dogs and cats to feed themselves when they are hungry and do not have access to food.
STS wrote, “The launch of our first Self-Feeder! We’ve been working hard in the lab to prototype this Self-Feeder. Thanks to our supporters, we’ve been able to design, build and launch it in Semenyih, Malaysia.”
In the video they showcased, 2 adorable stray dogs could be seen easily using the Self-Feeder to curb their hunger.
“Since then, it’s been able to feed 10 to 15 dogs in over 3 days in the area,” they added.
With the success of their first Self-Feeder, perhaps we’ll see more popping up in various other locations so that our poor stray animals won’t have to go hungry. Kudos to STS for such an innovative idea!
