Recently, beloved local entrepreneur and influencer, Khairul Aming, stepped up to provide aid to the flood victims in Kelantan. Mydin even took the opportunity to assist by encouraging him to take as many necessities as he needed to help those displaced by the floods.
Now, a Malaysian is exposing an alleged scheme where a village head is apparently hoarding care packages from Khairul Aming and only handing out small portions to the flood victims at the SK Tumpat 1 flood evacuation centre (PPS).
The Malaysian, @user34417455075593, took to their TikTok account to share this incident with the public.
They wrote, “It’s truly horrible, having to stay at the SK Tumpat 1 PPS. A lot of goods have arrived but only a few are being distributed. The village head here is truly horrible.”
“I cannot deny that this season there is not enough food supply, but a lot of goods have arrived and only very little is being divided (among the flood victims). They are willing to segregate away items as shown in my video.”
In the video showcased, a huge amount of donated items could be seen before the video pans to show a group of flood victims scrambling to gather donated food items for themselves and their loved ones, as only a small amount of the food items are allegedly scattered across a section of the floor for them.
The Malaysians who exposed this shared that they only managed to get a pack of crackers and a pack of instant noodles.
They went on to share their experience at a different PPS, where a card must be marked to show that donated items have been distributed.
“But here, the card has been marked but the items were not distributed,”
“I asked the village head about this but he said that the aid from Khairul Aming is under his control so he can do with it as he pleases,” they explained.
