The politicians of Malaysia are sort of a mixed bag. Some are brilliant in doing their job while others make you wonder why they are there in the first place.

The main point is that the only reason they get to represent us is because of the rakyat, and with the recent sexist proposal made by PKR Senator Mohd Imran Abd Hamid, the rakyat wants him out!

“What proposal?”, you might ask. Well, the senator wants to enact a sexual harassment law that will protect men from being “seduced” into committing sexual crimes. In his own words, as quoted by Malaysiakini,

“I propose a Sexual Harassment Act to protect men from the actions, words and clothing of women, which can cause men to be seduced to the point they can commit acts such as incest, rape, molestation, (watching) pornography and likewise.”

Incredulously, this was not his first time doing something like this. in 2015. He released a statement about how the sexy dressing among athletes in SUKMA and Fit Malaysia can lead to promiscuity. Hence why it is time for the senator to step down, according to a petition set up on change.org.

As stated by the petition: the senator should resign. If not, PKR should sack him, again, if not, the petition calls for the Yang Di Pertuan Agong to remove him from the Dewan Negara. We certainly don’t want to be senator Mohd Imran’s PR team right now.
