On 2 October 2020, the Ministry of Higher Education released a statement urging the postponement of physical and face-to-face classes for all higher education institutions.

Yesterday, Malaysia recorded a whopping 260 new positive cases. Following the spike of new Covid-19 cases, the Ministry of Higher Education made the decision to protect the safety and health of the public. As recommended, all institutions of higher education can provide online registration for all new students.

The teaching and learning aspects are also urged to be conducted online until further announcement. For the students who are currently studying and staying in the campus, they can continue staying and the Ministry will provide necessary aid when needed.

The Ministry of Higher Education also suggests the postponement of all campus activities that include gathering, and the Ministry has agreed to the rescheduling of students’ flights until 31 December 2020 after negotiations with the airlines.

Stay safe and stay tuned for more updates.
